receives record funding!

Bavarian funding program BayTOU supports innovative technology. The research project has a volume of a solid 1.7 million euros.
According to the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, one of the highest grants awarded to date goes to the cleantech startup from the Allgäu region. Numbat develops fast charging columns with integrated battery storage and drives progress in the e-mobility and energy management markets in an environmentally friendly way.
With the Bavarian funding program “Technology-Oriented Start-ups” (BayTOU), the Bavarian state government supports company founders and young technology companies. The aim of the funding is to stimulate company start-ups in promising technology areas and thus contribute to the creation of highly qualified jobs while strengthening the competitiveness of the Bavarian economy. This is exactly what those responsible at Bayern Innovativ saw, but also the founders Maximilian Wegener, PhD and Martin Schall. “We are of course pleased and very proud that our innovative and sustainable business model is confirmed and supported by such funding.”
The funded technology of the sustainable, environmentally friendly multi-lifecycle battery storage system will be used to exchange spent battery cells and replace them with new or recycled cells. The process thus allows the battery up to three lives. The grant of 769,000 euros will be invested in the further development of the multi-lifecycle battery storage system and thus in the company’s development and the qualification of additional employees, according to the founders. “We are growing strongly and are looking for motivated employees who share our goals and enthusiasm for future topics.” Exciting months lie ahead for the startup. From technical milestones to funding rounds, the roadmap is set. And it’s electric.
